Gov. Phil Bryant signed House Bill 1390 yesterday, requiring all physicians performing abortions in Mississippi to be board-certifited obstetrician-gynecologists and to have admitting privlieges at an area hospital.

"Today you see the first step in a movement, I believe, to do what we campaigned on- to say we're going to try to end abortion in Mississippi," Bryant said.

These are the two options former Ole Miss guard Zach Graham is weighing during the NBA lockout. After pre-draft workouts, waiting through the NBA Draft and participating in a pre-lockout minicamp, the Atlanta Hawks expressed interest in inviting Graham to training camp.

However, with the uncertainty surrounding the lockout, Graham is also considering the international route, where he said he also has offers on the table from overseas teams.

On an extremely hot afternoon with temperatures topping out at around 96 degrees, 24 students participated in the Ole Miss intramural sand volleyball tournament at the Blackburn-McMurray Outdoor Sports Complex. 

Six teams of four battled the heat, the sun and each other as they each competed for the infamous t-shirt that shows they are intramural champions.

After seeing what rule he broke (to me, it seemed ridiculous that the nation’s third-ranked team dismissed its third leading scorer and leading rebounder for violating it), I decided to research the BYU honor code and see what other rules that thousands of college athletes surely break every season.

With less than a week until national signing day on Feb. 2, Ole Miss has only a few remaining recruiting targets as it aims to close out the 2011 class with a bang. The Rebels picked up two huge gains for its 2011 class Tuesday when linebacker C.J. Johnson and defensive back Floyd Raven committed to Ole Miss.
