“Dude, I’m gonna break your f----n’ arm, then I’m gonna punch you in the f----n’ face.”
Sounds like a holdup, right? Or a mugging? Nope, it’s a police officer working for the NYPD.
But naturally there was a good reason for treating the guy like that. I mean, he must have just been caught running away from a crime scene or resisting arrest or something. Oh, no? He wasn’t even doing anything wrong? Alright, then.

New York prog-rockers Coheed and Cambria can be a tough sell.  They combine a plethora of different styles, with influences ranging from Rush to Iron Maiden to The Band.  All they’re albums are concept albums, based on an epic science fiction story conjured up by lead vocalist/guitarist Claudio Sanchez.  Sometimes their music is a bit out there.

Van Oostendorpis, owner and operator of 6‘N Tubbs on Jackson Avenue, said there is one thing he would like to make clear from the get go:
“This place is not a restaurant," he said, grinning. "It’s more social than that. You come in, have a slice, shoot the breeze, watch the game and split when you’re ready. 6’N Tubbs is a pizza joint."

Part of my daily routine includes scrolling through CNN’s home page, looking for headlines that catch my eye. When I read news on the Internet, I try to read serious pieces, but at the same time, I enjoy reading the funny pieces that tend to humanize public officials and celebrities. When I reached CNN’s Political Ticker, I came across a headline that read, “Hillary Clinton lets loose in Colombia.” Well, of course, I had to read this one. Not only am I a huge fan of Hillary Clinton, I also thought it would be a funny read.

Mississippi has one of the lowest cigarette taxes in the nation at $0.68 a pack, regardless of the sale price of the pack. The highest is New York at $4.35 a pack.

Meanwhile, a 2002 study by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention determined that each pack of cigarettes sold costs society $7.18 in medically related expenses and loss of work due to early death from smoking-related illness.

This means the state of Mississippi carries a $6.50 burden on each pack of cigarettes sold in the state. That does not look very good.
