In the two years that we have been doing test drives, we have done almost every modern pony car, ranging from a base V-6 Mustang, to the Camaro SS, to the venerable Mustang BOSS 302. One vital car that we were missing, though, was the Challenger. Well, we finally got a hold of one, and it’s the bad-ass of the Challenger line-up, the SRT8 392.

Ford forever changed the automotive world in 1964 with the introduction of the Ford Mustang. It created a new segment called the “pony” car, a term that was coined by automotive journalists at the time after the Mustang.

For years, the Toyota Camry has been the symbol of complacency. People didn’t buy a Camry for its nifty features, nice interior or attractive design because, well, it didn’t have any of those things. They bought a Camry because of its reliability, quality and affordability and because almost everyone else had one.

The sixth generation, code-named F30, BMW 3-series sedan will hit dealerships this February, and it will be a little bigger, a little lighter and will jump on the eco-train with a hybrid variant.

Let’s start with the heart of the 3 series, the engines. Both the engines for the 2012 3-series will utilize BMW’s TwinPower Turbo technology, which, despite its name, has just one turbocharger.

When the Charger was reintroduced back in 2005 with four doors and an automatic transmission, Mopar fans thought it was near blasphemous.

“How could they do that to such an iconic car?” they thought. After all, it just wouldn’t be the same if Bo Duke had driven a four-door family sedan to run moonshine.

But somebody at Dodge was thinking correctly because the 2005-2010 Charger series by far outsold the 1966-1971 Charger.

At first glance, the 2011 Camaro convertible looks like the perfect car. It has plenty of muscle, is quite agile and looks pretty good topless.

But, first glances can be misleading.

The best part of the Camaro convertible has to be its looks.

When driving around town, people will honk their horns, and women will wave and wink at you.

The Camaro looks good both top up and top down, which is more than can be said for many convertibles.

There was a great deal of enthusiasm at the North American and Chicago auto shows this year, as most car companies have finally begun to see growth since the recession.

There was a great deal of enthusiasm at the North American and Chicago auto shows this year, as most car companies have finally begun to see growth since the recession.

Because of this growth, they had a little extra money to give to their new vehicle development programs, which put out some stunning new production and concept vehicles.

For those who are graduating in the spring and were lucky enough to get some decent paying job offers, now is the time to get out of that 1980 Datsun and into something new. With so many different kinds of cars out there, it can get confusing knowing which ones are good buys.

Well, I have put together this nifty little buyer’s guide to help lessen the confusion.

All of the cars that I have test driven this year have been fast and powerful muscle or sports cars, but for most college students, these cars are either too expensive, too impractical or both.

Most of you are probably familiar with the new Camaro, even if you’re not one of the lucky few driving them around campus.
