Growing up, Halloween was probably my favorite holiday of the year, second only to Christmas. 

I was a really imaginative kid, so the idea of getting to dress up and parade around all day as something else — and get rewarded for it in candy — easily earned Oct. 31 a spot on my “favorite days of the year” list.

While trick-or-treaters were getting candy from different houses, some people decided to attend a different type of event in The Grove on Halloween night.

 

While trick-or-treaters were getting candy from different houses, some people decided to attend a different type of event in the Grove on Halloween night.

The Residential Housing Association at the University of Mississippi put on the Fall Carnival in the Grove Monday evening to help raise money through the Halloween spirit.  

Students, children and parents showed up to the event where there were games, inflatables and loud dance music.
