“The Rum Diary” can be somewhat difficult to wrap your head around. 

 

“The Rum Diary” can be somewhat difficult to wrap your head around.  

I was never 100 percent sure if it had some larger purpose that was within grasp that I was failing to reach, or if it really was meant to be the broad and silly comedy the trailers made it out to be.  

I’m inclined to think both, but the movie only toed the water either way, never fully jumping in.

I wish I could fill this space praising the accomplishments of Mississippi’s public education system, but at this point in time, that wish cannot become a reality.

Our state is plagued with low test scores, low income and worst of all, the lowest amount of action taken to fix the problem.

The Ole Miss Handband brings a different kind of entertainment to the University community as well as the Oxford community and surrounding areas. The group brings smiles to the faces of the deaf and joy to those who communicate through sign language.

After months of waiting, Lockett, a star defensive end for the Rebels, was granted a waiver by the NCAA on Thursday that gives him a sixth year of eligibility for the 2011-12 season.
