Students who fail their spring semester normally have a chance at redemption by taking summer courses, but this summer will be difficult for those students, thanks to the lack of available financial aid.

Due to fewer Pell Grants, financial aid for the summer will be very limited, and some students will have to rely on credit-based loans to cover their tuition.

“Small but mighty” is the best way to describe the Ole Miss Forensics Team, which has recently earned more attention with its wins in Baton Rouge, La., and Memphis.

The team, coached by JoAnn Edwards and Debra Yancy, has traveled to debate tournaments from as far west as Portland, Ore., to as far east as Boston, Mass. Despite sometimes having to drive 13 or more hours and running off of nothing more than coffee, crackers and a prayer, the team seems to have great, unique experiences everywhere they go.

When the Ole Miss football team got back to Oxford after a 31-3 loss to Mississippi State in the Egg Bowl, most of the team turned their attention to the offseason and who would be named their new head coach, but freshman Senquez Golson turned his attention to baseball and the friendly confines of Oxford/University Stadium at Swayze Field.

Look like "The Real World" just got a real law suit.

Since 1992, MTV has provided 26 seasons (520 episodes) of the “true story of eight strangers picked to live in a house, work together, and have their lives taped, to find out what happens when people stop being polite and start getting real.”

Few of us can remember of our lives before discovering this, the original, reality show.

Americans have always been very opinionated. We live in a society that allows us to be that way, so why not take advantage.

Americans have always been very opinionated. We live in a society that allows us to be that way, so why not take advantage?

A couple of months ago, a group of people, like so many Americans before have done, decided to take action against something they think is wrong.

The Occupy Wall Street protesters formed groups and stormed the streets of New York’s financial district, protesting social and economic inequality, corporate greed and corporate influence of the government.

Confession: I’ve never seen the original “Footloose,” so I walked into the remake with a clean slate.

I was even prepared to like it just fine because occasionally I enjoy feel-good movies where singing and dancing solve all the world’s problems.

If “Footloose” had just stuck with that idea, it might have been a good movie, or at least a passable one.

PHOENIX (AP) -- Pitching, speed and a little bit of power. The National League is back on top in the All-Star game, using the same formula that worked during its dominating run in the 1970s and '80s.

I’ve discovered you either love Sarah Palin, or you don’t. There is no in between. Whether she’s enforcing America’s need to stand with our allies the “North” Koreans, or creating new words for the English language “refudiate,” the Tea Party conservative certainly knows how to keep herself and the movement in the news.

Unfortunately, in her case, that’s not always a good thing.

Like Faulkner, Shirley Perry thought Oxford would be a great place to settle down and write.

Like Faulkner, Shirley Perry thought Oxford would be a great place to settle down and write.

Unlike Faulkner, Perry came from Boston to write memoirs about her life in the CIA, entitled “After Many Days: My Life as a Spy and Other Grand Adventures.”

The main focus of Kaitin’s presentation was the status of the pharmaceutical industry and drug research and development.
