Trying to snap a three-game losing streak, the No. 17 Ole Miss Diamond Rebels (15-6, 1- 2 SEC) will travel to Tuscaloosa to take on the Alabama Crimson Tide (8-13, 0-3 SEC) for their first Southeastern Conference road series of the season.

On paper, Ole Miss is head and shoulders above Alabama, but on the field, that is certainly not the case, especially given the 1-3 record going back to the start of the Auburn series this past weekend.

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - Ole Miss women’s tennis senior Kristi Boxx became the all-time doubles career wins leader Sunday afternoon in the No. 18 ranked Rebels’ 5-2 loss at No. 25 Alabama at the UA Varsity Courts.

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - Ole Miss women’s tennis senior Kristi Boxx became the all-time doubles career wins leader Sunday afternoon in the No. 18 ranked Rebels’ 5-2 loss at No. 25 Alabama at the UA Varsity Courts.

With the loss, the Rebels (8-5, 1-1) split the opening weekend of SEC play after Friday’s 7-0 win at Auburn.

I do not agree — true fans, those who don’t align team allegiance with acts of mean and cowardly vandalism, would never do what Harvey Updyke allegedly did. It’s beyond reprehensible.

Warren, the primary offensive cog for Ole Miss (16-8, 4-6 SEC), scored his first field goal with 1:16 left in the game, cutting what was a considerable Rebel deficit to 70-62. The senior point guard finished with 15 points, hitting 10-12 free throws.
